Evening of Fun

Thank you to everyone who came to enjoy an evening of food, fun and fellowship to support Bonyo’s Kenya Mission.  Our annual fund raiser was a success!  A special thank you to Mayor Dan Horrigan for taking time to attend the event and share his thoughts on Dr. Bonyo’s service to Akron and the mission of BKM.  The African Dance Troupe – Barefoot Dance Tribe for Kent State University was a huge hit and we appreciate their participation in our event.  Your support is helping us to continue our mission to serve those in need.  THANK YOU!

Shop & Support BKM – Amazon Smile

Please shop through Amazon Smile and support Bonyo’s Kenya Mission!  All you have to do is search ‘Amazon Smile’ instead of ‘Amazon.’  You log in the same way, and SHOP!  A portion of your eligible purchases will be sent to BKM for you.

If you forget to log into Amazon Smile, before you complete your purchase, search Amazon Smile, log in, and your stuff will be there waiting for you, the same as you left it in Amazon.

Easy!!

You just have to set your account to support BKM one time and it will always remember.  The only catch is that YOU have to remember to shop through Amazon Smile, instead of just Amazon. They are the same thing, but Amazon won’t donate for you if you don’t shop the Amazon Smile page.

We appreciate your support, it makes us smile!

Backpack Collection

Bonyo’s Kenya Mission is collecting backpacks.  You can drop off a gently used backpack at Dr. Bonyo’s office at 1569 V. Odom Blvd. during regular office hours.  All donated backpacks will be taken to Kenya and donated to children attending a local school near the Mama Pilista Health Centre.

Your gift of a backpack will bring a smile to a child’s face and encourage their pursuit of an education.

Community Outreach

Dr. Bonyo visited Sterling United Methodist Church as the guest speaker during United Methodist Women’s Sunday.  Dr. Bonyo talked about the treatments at the clinic and the services offered to pregnant women and infants.  The congregation of Sterling United Methodist Church had collected a tote full of teething rings and Orajel to help infants who are teething.  The teething supplies will be delivered to the clinic in June.

Dr. Bonyo generously gave books to the children of the church.  The children were very excited to receive the books about Bonyo’s journey to becoming a doctor.
